Okay, by “cheap”, I don’t mean like your girlfriend it going to think you’re cheap – I mean from the heart, good value, sure to knock her socks off great gift ideas.

The massage – no, don’t rub her shoulder with one hand while watching tv. Don’t be distracted, tell her you want to give her a treat, let her get comfortable, light a candle or two, use massage oil or some lotion so you don’t pull her skin off, and really rub her back, neck shoulders. A gentle head massage feels wonderful too. This isn’t about getting her to take her clothes off, it’s about treating her like a princess!

Cook her dinner – this might require some research, but you can get great recipes, make the trip to the supermarket, make sure you have all the ingredients, all the pots and pans you need, and make her a nice meal. Top it off with a yummy dessert or a bottle of wine, she’ll be super impressed. A guy that cooks? Yum.

Breakfast in bed – it’s a twist on the “cooking for her” thing. It doesn’t require all the culinary skills, but will totally make her feel pampered. You’ll have to sneak out of bed or into her house before she’s awake, put together the breakfast, and suprise her to make it good. You can go all out and cook an omelet (lets go back to those recipes) or just pick up some really good muffins or pastries, make her a nice cup of hot tea, and put it all on a tray and take it to her – complete it with a single flower for extra points!

The public shout-out – tell her on her blog, myspace page, facebook profile, wherever, that you love her! Valentine graphics are easy to find and take two seconds to give her an I love you comment, but trust me, this will mean the world – because it’s there for the world to see!
